I feel so stupid, to be taken as a fool so all the affections and the love, it was all a lie

As soon as I got home i went to my room and cried my eyes out

I can’t believe he could do this to me
I decided to avoid him at all cost and not let him know of the pregnancy

I will just leave the house after work tomorrow and go Faraway from him

I flinched when the door cracked open and his devilish face showed up

He was smiling as usual masking his evil intentions, I scoffed inwardly and still managed to fake a smile at him

“You’re home” he asked

“Yeah” I replied simply

“What the doctor said was wrong with you” he asked

*Just malaria” I replied

“Why are you staying in your room I wanna cuddle up with you” he smile and I almost hissed

“No I don’t feel like goodnight” I cut in and laid on the bed

“Kim” I heard him call but I pretended to be fast asleep

After a while I heard the door cracked and I look up to see he was gone

How foolish have I been, crying again I drifted off to sleep

***The next morning***

I woke up pretty early,before damien did and prepared for work

I ran my bathe and did everything fast as I could and went to work without seeing Damien

I can’t risk seeing his face, my heart will betray me and I will feel the urge to hug him

Ever since yesterday I didn’t fail to notice that Kim was avoiding me

It made me wonder if I offended her or something

I feel so restless since she asked me out of her room yesternight, though she didn’t say it but her actions says it all because I knew she was pretending to be asleep

“Aish” I groaned ruffing my hair

Worse still I woke up this morning again to find out she left the house to work before me

Something she hasn’t done since she’s been leaving with me

I got into the bathroom and did my business, having it in my to confront her at work today

In few minutes I was done and I got into my car and drove off to work

As soon as I entered the building my eyes landed on Claire running to me like a girl who saw an ice cream truck

“Hey brother” he said sweetly flashing me a smile

“What do you possibly what this time” I asked knowing fully well she came to ask something

“Ouch! I feel insulted so I can’t Willing try to greet ng dear brother early in the morning and collect his bag” she blinked her eyes collecting my briefcase

“It’s something you don’t do so what is your request” I gruff

“Okay fine you caught me, I just wanted to ask if you could please give I and jay a day off tomorrow” she pouted blinking her lashes

“I knew it, I knew it was about you two” I said

“Pretty please” she pleaded

“Sure fine” I replied

“Yay” she squealed while I just walked past her towards the company

As I entered the hallway I sighted kim coming as well and as soon as she saw me she branched to the department sideways

I hasten my steps to catch up with her but when I got there I couldn’t find her it seems like she vanished or something

The staffs saw me and the all greeted in courtesy while I ignored and went to my office

My mind wasn’t at peace Wondering why Kim could be avoiding me

I continued my work till past noon and I could no longer take it anymore so I stood up and went to her office

I didn’t bother to knock so I just entered and she flinched seeing me

Definitely something is wrong

“Kim” I called

“Good afternoon sir” she replied avoiding my eyes

Since when does she refer to me as sir?

“Why are you acting official, is there something I should know of” I asked softly

“There’s nothing wrong” she replied simply

“The why are you avoiding me” I asked at the verge of breaking down

“I…I..am not avoiding you it’s just that..erm..works and all” she stuttered

“Kim what..” I was saying when I saw her falling

I quickly ran to where she was staying and held her preventing her from falling

I stared to her face and saw the was already unconscious

Just the Claire entered her office “OMG what happened”.

” She fainted now get my car keys” I yelled carrying her In a bridal style to my car

Soon Claire was there with the keys and we both got in and I furiously to the nearest hospital

“Nurse!!” Claire yelled as soon as I halted the car and they came running with the stretcher as they took her in

My heart was beating wildly and I was extremely worried

“How’s she” I asked as soon as the doctor came out

“Who are you to her” the doctor asked instead

” She’s my fiancee” I replied

“They she should have told you she’s pregnant, because when she came yesterday we told her not to stress herself, and not only did she stress herself but took something that could have hurt the baby” the doctor said and I felt my heart rate beat rapidly

She’s pregnant? But she didn’t tell me, and she tried to hurt the baby what is going on

I thank the doctor and went to her ward

As I entered, she was there lying down with her face pale but still as beautiful as ever

I sat down beside her staring into her beautiful face

Why didn’t she tell me we were having a baby, why did she try to hurt her baby

After waiting for thirty minutes her eyes stared open and she winced a little

“Where are am I” she muttered her eyes tracing the room before it finally landed on me

“What are you doing here” she asked startled

“Why didn’t you tell me you were pregnant” I asked her instead

Her face was of shock and surprise

She sat up properly before answering me ” like you wanted the baby”

“What are you talking about”

“I don’t wanna talk to you okay”

“What is going on kim? Why did you hide it from me” I asked already getting annoyed

“Quit the pretense Damien, I overheard you laughing out loud with your friends narrating how you successfully played me and how you won’t accept a child if I ever get pregnant for you” she yelled glaring at me

I ruffled my hair, squeezing my eyes shut

” You got it all wrong, I wasn’t referring to you I was talking about my ex girlfriend” I snapped

” You have an ex and you didn’t tell me” she yelled

“Yes! But you should have confronted me and asked and not try to hurt the baby” I yelled back at her

” What are you talking about I didn’t hurt the baby” she asked confused

“The doctor said you took something” I snapped

“But the only thing I took was a bottle if milk” she replied

“You are anonying kim” I said

“The base of every relationship is trust! Trust! Kim but you couldn’t trust me enough, you can’t even tell me about it huh” I yelled at her while she kept mute finding her fingers

The doctor walked in ” it seems what you took was either poisoned or expired but you will be discharged in few minutes” he said

” Thank you sir” I said glaring at Kim

I face Kim and she was fridgetng like a little kid and that almost made me wanna hug her to myself but I am too angry to do it

She didn’t trust me enough and I will punish her

I walked out her ward angrily and went to settle the discharge bills

“I will be going home now and I expect you to meet me at home” I said walking to her ward before going

I sniffed quitely after Damien went, why didn’t I ask him huh

I feel so stupid, and I couldn’t help but cry

I stood up from the bed since I was already discharged

Now I have to find my way home and I am not even with anything

My bag or purse are both in the office, where did I get the idea he was playing me

Oh my gosh I am so stupid and this is the first time i am seeing him this angry

I dragged my foot as I walked into the streets outside the hospital

It’s a long work to his house from here but why did he leave me huh I was just angry

I don’t even wanna go home to meet him

Just as I walked further closer to our company a car pulled up beside me

“Want a lift” I heard a familiar voice and I smiled as I entered

I checked the time for the umpteenth time but she wasn’t home

So I took my car keys and went back to the hospital but I was told she left immediately I did

“So where the heck is she” I mumbled

I shouldn’t have left her all by herself, but I was just angry at her

“Aish!! Kim where are you” I ruffled my hair

I took my car keys again and went out in search of her
