Chapter 15
Jessie’s POV
-Before my boss–
“Did you go in there to vomit?” the old man asked.
“Yes.” I tried my possible best to comport myself.
“Seems someone is pregnant!” My boss teased but my face turned sour.
“I’m not pregnant sir.” I said to him and he smirked.
“Isn’t it a good thing that you are pregnant?” He asked.
“No , no…I’m not ready. ” I replied.
“Are you joking? What did you marry for then?” He asked
“Well, cause God want us to marry…and…It makes one responsible in the society plus..just many advantages, getting pregnant is just one of them.” I explained.
“Why do I feel like you are talking nonsense, actually God says we should multiply meaning that we can give birth, so what are you talking about?…Oh! Don’t tell me that you have not made love with your husband or…you are probably using a dr-ug to protect it?”
“Sir, I’ve never made love with my husband and its a consensus.” I replied.
He smirked and rested his two hands on the table.
“I knew it, I just know that something is not right in your marriage, is that why he has not been coming to work? ”
“No sir, I just said it’s a consensus, I’m sure he’s not angry cause of that?”
“So, tell me? why is he angry? ” He questioned.
“He’s not angry, he just said he is not interested in engaging in carnal work, he said he has been called to become a pastor.” I said.
“A pastor?” the old man laughed briefly. “I think he just want to use the time to make love with ladies and have fun with them.”
“No, he’s not like that. He’s a prayer warrior.”
“A prayer warrior is not a spirit, are you aware…may I know why you didn’t even want your husband to make love with you in the first place?” He asked.
“It’s quiet personal, there are people living that same life, it may be strange but there is nothing wrong in it. There are many things a couple could do together, everything is not s-x sir. ”
The man watched me and was quiet for a while.
He smirked and his face turned into a serious one again.
He placed a call and in about four minutes, a nurse walked in.
“What for?” I questioned.
“To test if you are pregnant?” He replied.
