Chapter 56
Brenda’s POV
“Why were you lying?” Scot asked as he sat.
I went to sit beside him and opened my mouth but closed it back.
He turned to me when he realized that I wasn’t saying a word.
“We are still In the middle of the night, you should go to sleep.” He said.
“Do you care about me?”I asked.
” No.”
“Why did you cover me with a blanket when I was asleep?”
“I would have done that for anyone, don’t feel special.” He said and I giggled.
“What’s funny?” He turned his head to me.
“The fact that you care for me but you are not ready to admit it?” I said and he smirked.
“Don’t be silly, I never care for you.” He walked back to his room.
I sauntered to my room happily.
-Following day-
I got dressed in a beautiful dress, I had already seen that I looked adorable in my mirror but I needed someone else to tell me.
So I ran towards Scot’s room, on my way, I met Scot.
“Scot! Good morning!” I greeted.
“Morning!” He answered.
“Erm…do I look God?” I flaunted myself before him.
“Is my food ready?” He asked and ignored my question to my disappointment.
“It’s the first thing I do when I wake, it is.” I answered and he walked away from me.
I joined him at the dining and started eating with him.
We both had two big meats on our food each, I haven’t eaten any yet, I always love to finish my food before eating the meat. I took one of the meat before him intentionally and began to eat it.
He did not even act like he knew.
“Brenda! Get me a cup of rëd wine inside.” He said and I stood and swiftly went to the kitchen to get him the cup of wine that he had requested.
As I got to the table, I noticed I can’t find two of my meats again.
I placed the cup of wine on the table and sat.
“Scot! did you….eat my meat?” I asked.
“You took one of mine and I took two!” He said clumsily, there were too much meats in his mouth that he wasn’fluent when he was speaking.
I angrily took the cup of wine that he had sent me to get and drank it, even though I never liked such drink.
“I wasn’t feeling like drinking , though. It was a trick to eat your meat.” He scoffed.
