Chapter 45
Elizabeth’s POV
I couldn’t utter a word, I was still. his d–!k kept working some magic behind me.
“Mr Ashley Romeo, you are embarrassing yourself.” I pushed my head back and whispered to him.
“I’m with my wife.” He whispered back.
“Your fake wife.” I corrected silently.
“So guys, I would tell the folk tale.” Jack said.
“Why should it be you?” I faced him and asked.
We l sat in circles.
“Meaning? ” He asked.
“I want to be the one to tell it.” I said and he sighed.
“I’m more good at telling folktales and trust me, you all will enjoy it.”
“No, I will not enjoy it, others may ,though.” I said.
I really want to be the one to tell the folktale.
“Let her tell It.” Mr Ashley Romeo said firmly.
“Good boy.” I whispered to him and he slapped me gently on my @-ss’
I stiffed for few seconds.
“Are you alright Elizabeth?” Jack asked.
“Your mouth like Elizabeth, call me Mrs Romeo, please.” I said and he smiled embarrasedly and nodded.
“So…erm…I will start by telling you the story of tortoise. The tortoise and the dog used to be friends…are you all listening?” I asked.
Everyone said ‘yes’, excluding Mr Ashley Romeo.
“Are you part of us, this boy.” I asked turning my head to Mr Ashley Romeo.
He only smiled.
“So…there was a famine in the land, everyone was starving except the dog, someday say ‘Halleluyah”…I said.
” Huh….” Jack said as they all exchanged surprising glances.
“What’s surprising now? I said you should shout hallelujah so I can continue with the tale.” I said.
“I don’t understand, are we in church?” Jack asked as Ethan and his wife laughed.
“It’s not funny, just obey simple instruction and let me keep telling the story.” I said and my sister chuckled.
“Hallelujah.” Mr Ashley Romeo said from behind me.
I turned to him and said; “Good boy.”
He held my chin and kissed me.
I turned to the rest and….they all saw it
“Did you see that?” I asked.
“See what?” Ethan’s wife asked.
“Nothing….so, as I was saying, there was famine but the tortoise does not seem affected with the famine, he was only getting fatter and bigger and this caught the attention of the dog?” I said and forgot the story.
I remembered my grandmother telling me the complete story but that was where I remembered it too.
I know what to do, I will just add my nonsense to complete it.
