EPISODE 3 & 4

Bekky knows that anytime her husband behaves like that no need pleading with him because it will be definitely falling on deaf ears, she went inside the kitchen and started preparing the egusi soup. when the food was done she went ahead and serve it and left to call her husband.
Bekky: Sir, I am done with the food, its now on the dinning” (she told her husband who was busy with his laptop).
Lawrence closed his laptop and left for the dinning, he ate to his satisfaction and came back to the room.
He met Bekky already asleep.
He started touching her. in the process he woke her up.
Bekky: What is it again? can’t I rest in this house, am I the first woman to ever get married? must I say it before you know how tired I am, or did you think that I never get tired? please I beg you with the name of God to leave me alone.
Lawrence: baby please let’s do it OK? after that you will go and sleep and I will not disturb you again I promise.
Bekky: You will not disturb me again? alright Mr . take a look at the time, its 11:45 already all because I was trying to be a good servant by preparing another dinner for my master who never have pity on his servant, by 4am the servant will still have to wake up for another day full of work without rest, while the master will be sleeping like a dead lion, please let me be.

Lawrence: you don’t go to work so how then will you be working all day without rest. my friend fulfil your obligation as a wife, what is your problem?
Bekky: please dear let’s leave it till tomorrow. I am too tired for this, I can’t do it
Lawrence: you do not have a choice dear” (he started touching her again and Bekky let him have his way with her).
4am in the morning Bekky was already awake and started with her normal routine, when she came back from taking the kids to school, she met her husband still at home so she decided to use the opportunity and discuss something with him.

Bekky: love please I want to beg you for something.
Lawrence: “what is it” (he asked nonchalantly).
Bekky: please I need a washing machine, at least to reduce the house chores .
Lawrence: What for? isn’t it enough that you are not working? now you need a washing machine, soon it will be a cooking machine,the one you will be telling what to cook and it will be doing it for you. so that you can always sit with those big mouth friends of yours and be gossiping God knows what.

Bekky, washing clothes is part of your duty as a wife so do it but if you have money for the so called washing machine, you can buy it but do not use it to wash my clothes.
Bekky: honey, you know I can’t afford it that is why I come to you for help.
Lawrence: if you know you can’t afford it then continue using your hands. woman disturb me not please, as you can see, am already late for work.
Bekky: Alright, but don’t forget that I am a graduate and I still have my certificate, since this is how you decided to be treating me, I will start to look for a job. just take a good look at me, is this woman here the beautiful lady you got married to? since I stopped working, you have turned me into a maid that you can be ordering around anytime and anyhow you like. yet you don’t ever get satisfied.
Lawrence: continue talking nonsense for all I care, just don’t waste your time looking for a job unless you wanted to dare me. this discussion is over!
When Lawrence left for work, Bekky went on her knees in prayers, letting her tears flow freely
Bekky: God I know you can see all that is happening. do I really deserve this Lord” (she started singing).

Bekky sang like her life depend on it
” Lord all I ask for is for you to change my husband’s attitude towards me in Jesus name” Bekky heard someone said “Amen”
She turned to see who said it.
“oh my Goodness!
who am I seeing?”(she exclaimed).

Bekky ran and hugged her best friend Cassandra who was still standing at the door.
Bekky:Cassandra why did you stop contacting me, its been a while now. you just left me here. its really unfair.

Cassandrae : I am so sorry girlfriend, it won’t happen again I promise. but what happened to you? even your color had faded. do you know that if its not because of your voice I would have mistaken you to an old woman? seriously, this isn’t the Bekky I knew.
Bekky: Sweetheart, its a very long story
Cassandra: I am ready to hear it so spit it out dear
Bekky: its Lawrence.
Cassandra: what about him?
Bekky told her besty what Lawrence had been doing to her.
Cassandra:Oh my God! so you mean Lawrence had been treating you like a slave and you didn’t care to tell me?
Bekky: “I am sorry girlfriend” (she said sobbing)
Cassandra: ahaa girlfriend don’t cry again, I believe God is in control of everything, sometimes when you are faced with challenges you can’t get through, when it seems there is no way out of it, he still proves that he is God. so don’t worry, its well my sister
That’s why I love my husband (Samuel) so much, he is very much understanding since they sacked him from his job, he has been very helpful to me, he always make sure the servants does their work properly and he never complains of my job that doesn’t give me enough time to spend with him , I just thank God for giving me such a man.
Bekky: dear, how sure are you that he is been faithful to you?
Cassandra: I am the one that takes care of everything that concerns money in our home so he wouldn’t dare bite the finger that feeds him,
Bekky:just be careful dear, you never can tell and also try to be fulfilling some of your duty as a wife, because you dont know what tomorrow might turn out to be, put yourself in the shoes of your husband and know if you will be happy if he ever treats you the way you are treating him, I know he doesn’t complain but believe, he isn’t happy about it
Cassandra:Madame,.please forget about this sermon of yours and let’s focus on making things right in your own home.
Bekky: your wish is my command Ma
Cassandra:Bingo!!!!
Bekky: bingo? babe are you alright?
Cassandra: I’ve got the perfect plan to teach your husband a lesson, not really a lesson but to make him know your worth, the work you do here and value you, I am very sure it will work out but only if you will cooperate and do all that I will tell you to do, so the ball is now in your court. are you in or out??
Bekky: alright. I am In
Cassandra: come closer” (she whispered her plan in Bekky’s ear).
Bekky: are you sure it will work?”
Cassandra: trust me baby girl, it will work, believe me.
Bekky: I pray it do work because I am really getting tired of this marriage
