Chapter 31

Brenda’s POV

I arrived at the company that was employing cooks. It was what I studied in school and I believe I’m good at it.

But with the set of professionals who cane looking for job, I doubt if I will ever be picked.

After few hours of sitting, it was finally my turn to be interviewed.

I was really nervous, I walked in and saw two women sittted. I was surprised when one of the women happened to be Scott’s mother.

My days! Isn’t she the same person that ordered Scott to pack my luggage out of the house.

“Forget it Brenda, you can’t be employed.” I told myself and turned but the woman called.

“Are you leaving?” She asked and I turned back to her.

“Yes…ma.” I replied guiltily.

“Should we talk about how you left my house abruptly?” She asked.

I shook my head in disagreement. “I didn’t do anything of such, I went out and by the time I came back home , I saw all my luggage already outside…I waited outside to see if I would see someone to tell me at least what happened , but I didn’t see anyone till it was late, so I had to leave.” I explained.

Scott’s mother rested more comfortably to the chair she was sitting on with her arms folded.

“I’m sorry ma.” I apologized not knowing what exactly I do.

“Either Scott or Bella did that. Well, it could be your key to promotion. Can I see your result?” She asked and I took steps forward and submitted my CV to her.

She went though it and passed it to the woman beside her.

After few minutes, they whispered to themselves and finally faced me.

“Erm..Brenda, we have examined your CV, there is no need for unnecessary questioning, resume work on Monday.” She said and I yelled happily.

I quickly covered my mouth when I realized that I might be acting like a nuisance.

“Thank you so much ma.” I appreciated her and turned.

I walked away happily.

I finally was able to get a job.
So she isn’t the person that fired me?

Could Scott have done that? Cause Bella do not obviously have any power to fire me.

I will find out.
