Chapter 71
Brenda’s POV
Scot stretched the gun at the man and the man archened his brow.
“What are you trying to do?”The man asked and quickly wanted to put his hand in his pocket.
He probably has another gun but Scot was quick to shoot him at his laps.
He fell and groaned painfully.
Scot held me and we both ran our way inside those houses, we kept running till we hit a street.
” Do you know where this place is?” I asked Scot.
“I have never been here before.” He said and looked around.
He dragged me forward and we finally arrived where a car was parked.
“Enter!” He ordered.
“Is it your car?” I asked.
“I will find the owner in the future and buy another one for him.” He said and broke the door open, he opened the door of the car for me to enter and I did.
He did some mechanical stuffs on the car and the car started. He drove to his house.
We both walked inside and he sunk to the chair.
“You tried Scot.” I said as I sat beside him.
He wasn’t saying a word.
He walked towards the bathroom and as I heard splashes of water, I knew he was bathing.
He must be tired, he probably want to take a shower and sleep.
After he was done bathing, He opened the door of the bathroom and walked outside with a towel.
“Why don’t you use the bathroom of your room?” I asked.
“I’m tired.” He replied and sauntered to my room.
He was still on towel, he fell to my bed and his eyes closed like he had slept.
“Oh!I guess I will have to go and sleep in your room then, I will not like to disturb you.” I said.
“There is a snake in my room.” He said.
“A snake?”
“Yes, that was why I was scared to sleep there, better sleep here.” He said.
“No….I would be disturbing your sleep, I guess I will have to go and sleep in the living room ,I’ll manage the chair.” I said.
“Did you know when I sat at the living room, I saw the same snake, better sleep here.” He said.
Is he lying or what?
He was not smiling, his eyes were still closed and he was speaking like someone that is tired.
