????Kira’s pov????
I lifted my eye lids bit by bit and soon I was wide awake.
I batted my lashes before turning to see Mr Adam staring at me.
He looked relieved and our eyes locked.
“Hey…” He said and drew his seat close.
I felt pains around my body and a syringe being pierced into my hand.
I sighed and tried to sit up but couldn’t due to the pains.
“What happened?” I muttered and he took my hand.
“You’ve been unconscious for two days” He replied and I gasped feebly.
“Two days???
Where’s Brandon?” I asked.
“He’s with the chef – outside. I was so worried about you that I couldn’t leave yoir side after the operation” He said and I smiled.
“I missed you so much” he said and I blushed the more.
“I don’t know who he was. He was in a black attire and he barged into my room. Before I could make a statement, he fired his gun at me” I narrated remembering the whole thing.
“You didn’t see his face?” He asked and u nodded the little way I could.
He didn’t say anything else as he looked away in deep thoughts.
He looked angry though and at the same time, happy.
“Let’s invite the doctor then…” He paused and pressed a button that was fixed on the bed.
“Am quite hungry Adam” I quickly covered my mouth in shock.
Did I just call him Adam without adding anything??
Am so dead!
He cracked and removed my hands from my face.
“Get used to it, huh…” He said softly and placed a kiss on my cheek.
I flushed feeling so bashful.
“Don’t worry, the chef is here with your lunch” he said and the door opened immediately revealing a female doctor and two nurses.
Wait a minute…
He let them touch me?
So Mr Adam is tired of being a woman hater? I smiled : I changed him for sure.
“Welcome back miss Kira, the nurses will give you some vitamins to help you regain your strength and also, you can finally eat after dozing off for two days” she said and I smiled.
I noticed the label outside.
VIP ward…
“Mr Adam, may I have a moment with you outside?” The doctor requested and he glanced at me.
“I’ll be back” He said and left my hand.
He followed her out and the nurses took over.
????Mr Adam’s pov????
I was still trying to fix the puzzle in my mind.
Who could have sent that scumbag to hurt Kira and it hurts me more that the person had the guts to step foot into my mansion.
It’s obvious the person is a con artist in this things.
I have more than ten guards at the mansion so how could someone infiltrate that area with them around.
This is so agitating.
I stood outside with the doctor and she seemed to smile at intervals.
It’s been long since I was this close to a woman aside Kira though but it seemed like she had something relevant to share.
“Mr Adam, I wanted to tell you this after the urgent surgery on miss Kira but you looked distress but now that she’s awake…
“Am happy to tell you that she’s five days pregnant and the baby is out of grave danger…for now”
I arched my brows.
“For now??”.
She nodded.
“We’ll still run some tests on her. The bullet almost but luckily, it didn’t and I’d say it’s like a normal person recovering from bring shot. I’d advice you take good care of her till she’s strong enough to walk, alright” she said and I clenched my fist.
She’s pregnant and one empty skull somewhere attempted to kill my baby.
How dare they???
I turned away from the doctor and left the place.
I already know who did this to Kira.
????Jade’s pov????
I was alone at my garden drinking some fruit juice.
The plan worked and the bvtch is still at the hospital.
Am disappointed that she didn’t die and Adam was there to save her.
Ugh!
But at least she’s hurt.
That satisfies me.
I looked into my phone giggling and laughing. I looked up and flinched the moment I saw Adam walking towards me.
What’s he doing here?
He’s probably here cause he’s looking for a shoulder to cry on..
He was now standing infront of me.
He looked angry and filled with rage.
He’s here to set things right between us, that’s for sure!
