☑Chapter One ☑
????Christian’s POV????
“I’m sorry to interrupt Sir, but your father would like to see you.”
I immediately broke away from the girl that I was making out with and glared at the man in front of me. He was one of my father’s body guards and although he had an emotionless look on his face, I could tell that he was embarrassed.
“Can you tell him that I’m busy?” I hissed and gestured to the girl who was currently scrambling to put back on her shirt.
“I’m sorry Sir but your father said it was important.” The bodyguard said.
I rolled my eyes and got up. “Stay here Bridget, I’ll be right back.”
Bridget gasped. “My name is Brittany!”
I shrugged. “Whatever.”
I followed the bodyguard into my father’s study and found Taylor Sr. sitting behind his big oak desk, glaring at me.
“Do you insist on embarrassing this family by bringing riff raft into our home?” My father snapped.
I smirked. “Brittany is a good girl and I’m very serious about her.”
My father scoffed. “I’m serious Christian. Stop bringing home your one night stands. It looks bad on the family. If you’re going to bring a girl home then she has to be from
wealth.”
I yawned obnoxiously, feigning boredom. “Fine, is that all George?”
My father narrowed his eyes at my use of his first name but said nothing about it. “No actually. I called you in here because I’m tired of you not pulling your weight around
here.”
“Why should I have to work if we’re billionaires?” I asked.
I mean come on, I’m basically set for life. I’m never going to have to work to survive because of my inheritance.
“Correction, your mother and I are billionaires. You are just our spoiled son . And I refuse to stand for that anymore. So you will be now be over-seeing the Taylor Hotel in Los Angeles.” My father told me.
“What? No, I don’t want to work at one of your hotels.” I exclaimed.
“Either you work there, or I’ll take away your trust fund.” My father threatened.
“You can’t do that!” I shouted.
My father smiled. “It’s my money, I can whatever I want with it.”
I scowled at my father and crossed my arms over my chest.
“Fine, I’ll do it.”
“Of course you will.” My father ordered. “And make sure to stay away from trashy girls while you are there.”
…
????Nadia’s POV????
“I can’t believe you have to get a job!” Brianna gasped into the phone.
“Right? I know that things are hard right now with my dad getting laid off and my mom having to take over, but this is ridiculous. I’m supposed to be focusing on school so that I can get a scholarship for college. I can’t do that if I’m spending all my time working at the hotel.” I complained.
“Wait so you got the job?” Brianna asked.
“Yeah, apparently they were short and needed a new maid asap.” I said
“Nadia!” I heard my boss snap from behind me.
“Oops, I’ve gotta go. Talk to you later Bri.” I whispered into my phone.
I turned around and saw my supervisor, Linda, standing behind me
“Were you on the phone?” She asked, her eyes blazing.
“No…”
Linda sighed. “You know that cell phones aren’t allowed here with all the celebrity clientele we receive. I could fire you for that and it’s only your first day.”
“No, please don’t. I need this job, I promise it won’t happen again.” I begged.
“Ok fine. But this is your last warning. Now I need you to go to the tailor and help her out with an outfit. You have the same body dimensions as the client and she needs you to try on the dress.”
“Cool, I’ll go right now.” I said to her.
I made my way to the tailor’s room and found her getting out her needles.
“Thank God you’re here,” She cried, “this dress is for Dakota Gold and it needs to be finished today. Normally I would just use a mannequin as a model but Dakota has very
precise measurements.”
I took the dress that she handed me and quickly changed into it. The dress was probably the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen. It was a satin material in a rich shade of shimmering gold that stopped just above my knee. It had a cut out in the back with a tie at the neck too.
“So who is Dakota Gold?” I asked the tailor as she sewed the hem of the dress.
“She’s a young French actress who’s trying to cross over into American films.”
She must be loaded to be able to afford to have a dress like this made especially for her. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and an attractive boy came inside.
He had dirty blonde and startling gray eyes. He was tall, like
6’2 and he was wearing a black suit.
“Excuse me but I need you to clear the room.” He said to the tailor.
“Actually Sir, I really need to finish Dakota’s dr-“
“I told you to leave.” He repeated
Well he’s rude, I thought to myself as she nodded her head and quickly left the room. Right away I could tell this boy was rich by the way he carried himself and by the way he treated people. I started to feel self conscious when the boy came up to me.
“Hello Dakota, my name is Christian Taylor and I’m the manager of this hotel.”
