Kian’s POV

My heart shook fearfully during the confession. I do not think this is the right time to confess my dirty life. No! I do not think so. Chloe wouldn’t be able to take it. She would hate me. She would despise me with passion.

“What do you want to say kian?” Chloe who must be wondering my I suddenly went mute, asked

“I meant that I’m a sinner. I’ve got dirty past.” I said.

“We all have made mistakes, you shouldn’t be bothered about that Kian, let bygone be bygone.” She said and I nodded.

Kaden and I stood at the balcony in front of the penthouse. I think I need to talk things through with my brother first.

“Kaden! I sincerely need to apologize about my actions in the past and of recent. I broke the beautiful relationship between you and Chloe, I also beat you recently at the party. I know I’m wrong, forgive me.” I pleaded.

“If I had died, you won’t be able to plead with me. The life I live now is by your grace. If you had not given me your kidney, it’s very impossible for me to be alive today. So why won’t I forgive you? You have done well for me and I’ll always be grateful.” He said.

I sighed. We were both quiet for few seconds after which I spoke out.

“Kaden! I’m sorry for the question I’m about to ask but let me ask. ” I said.

“Sure, I’m all ears.” He retorted.

“Erm…do you still love Chloe?” I asked.

He chuckled and giggled again. He looked into my face and turned his face away.

“I think it’s impossible to forget one’s first love…but if you love Chloe, you can have her.” He said.

“Kaden, you still Love Chloe and you can never forget her. I’ll always remain bad in your heart for what I did. I’m so sorry.” I said.

“Hum! It is well. Maybe fate has designed relationship for both of you, but be rest assured that I will never be against it.” He said assuringly.

“Thanks brother , but how can I make it up to you?”

He chukled. ” you have already made it up by giving me another kidney. But I have one question too.” He said.

“Okay, ask.”

“Why do you loathe ladies so much then, to the extent that you can not stand the sight of me being in a relationship with someone I love?” He asked.

Memories came flashing in and I started having headaches. “Kaden, I really do not want to talk about it…it’s gone, I now like ladies.”

“Kian, I did well by answering all your questions, what is the big deal in answering the only question that I asked. ”

“Kaden, you can not understand. I do not want to talk about it.” I said.

“Why do I suddenly have a feeling that you are selfish?” He asked to my surprise. There was a tone of seriousness in his voice.

“Okay, fine. I’ll tell you some other time.” I said.

“Excuse me? I’ll unveil all the truth to Chloe and let her choose whom she want amidst us. Don’t you think that is fair? Since you can not tell me your reason for spoiling my happy moment back then.” He said and walked out angrily.
