Episode 55

Chloe’s POV

I was at the hospital three days later to check on Jace, Jace had been on the sick bed for days. I feel so obligated to help him. I feel like standing with him is a must for me.

This is someone that protected me with his life.

I walked to his ward and saw him in the same position that he had been three days ago.

Again, I allowed tears roll down my cheek cause its now looking to me like he may not get better again.

I watched his finger move and I knew he was trying to communicate something.

I looked into his face hoping that he could speak and telll me what he wanted but he couldn’t.

His fingers kept moving and I could see desperation on his face. He really wanted to communicate something to me.

I got frustrated at some point and went in search of the doctor attending to his case.

“Miss Chloe! How are you?” He greeted.

“I’m not fine, at all. Jace wanted to talk to me but it seems impossible, are there other ways he could communicate to me?” I asked.

“Well…you should go back to him, I’ll join you soon.” The doctor promised and I went back to Jace’s ward hoping the doctor comes back with a possible solution.

“Miss Rose!” I heard the doctor called after few minutes. He was with a book and pen.

“He should be able to write, his handwriting may not be legible cause of how feeble he is but you should be able to derive something from what he writes.” The doctor said and went to place the pen between the fingers of Jace and a book underneath.

The Doctor walked out.

I watched as Jace wrote Jagunz first , then he seems to start writing something relatable.

“Chloe! Thanks for standing by me.” He wrote.

“It’s nothing Jace ,please be well.” I said to him.

“I have a request?” He wrote.

“Please go ahead, whatever it is…ask me?” I replied him.

“Will you marry me?” He wrote.

What! Is my eyes seeing double? That has not cross my heart in years and I wasn’t even ready for it.

I only see Jace as a friend.

“Remember , I saved you with my own life, it’s the only way you can pay me back.” Jace wrote.

Kian’s POV

1PM at night!

Kyle and I were with Jace at the hospital.

“Jace, all this pretense is getting tiring, will you get up…we have works to do.” I said.

“I’m glad you didn’t snitch on me by telling Chloe anything.” Jace chuckles and sat upright.

“We are playing a game and I’m only trying to win, let’s calm down.” Jace said.

“Sure, we all are trying to win but we shouldn’t neglect the primary assignment of the sinners gang.” Kyle said.

“Okay, fine…what’s the next project?” Jace asked.

Kyle looked at me and I looked away.

“Actually, Sinners gang will be dissolved but that will be after this final project!” I said.

“Dissolved? You mean we will stop working illegally together for a living?” Jace asked me.

“Are you being serious here?” Kyle asked me.

“Very serious, I want Chloe and I really need to straighten all my paths if I will win this game.” I said. But what I really wanted to say is that : (I Love Chloe, so much. I want to make my path right and become a good man that can fit her. ) but If I confess to my brothers that I love her, they might kill her.

“I want Chloe on bed too, I want to get that girl with tight p***y pregnant.” Jace said and Kyle grinned.

Kyle seems to have lost verve in the game, he was just playing along. He was neither on Jace’s side nor on my own side.

Jace is trying to play a pity game on Chloe and I dare not snitch, it’s our code plus it’s a game to us even though it stopped being a game to me a long time ago.

“So what is this final project of the sinners gang? ” Kyle asked.

“But…are we really going to dissolve sinners gang just because of his game?” Jace asked.

He thought I would be dissolving it because of the game , not knowing that it is because I’m turning a new leave.

“Well…our next project is targeted solely on BSC company, if we carry on the job perfectly, the money we would get there could feed us a life time. Sadly, Chloe’s dad has the largest shares there.” I said.

“Wait! Did you just said “sadly’? When did you start having pity for Chloe’s father?” Jace asked?

Oops! he caught me again.

“I mean…I do not have pity on him, why would I?” I said confusingly.

“Whatever…so when is it?” Jace asked.

Kyle was quiet.

“In three days time, but guys, if we are caught, that could be the end of us.” I said.

“Sinners gang are never scared of what may happen, we just act. Wait! Kian, you are beginning to act like a soft hearted person. Isn’t this the same Kian I know?” Kyle asked amazingly.

They are beginning to suspectt me now ,I need to put my emotions under control.
