“Can I ask you something”

We just got home and he wants to talk to me already. What did I do this time? I thought we had fun.

“Can I get undressed? I’m tired” I whined.

“Yea” he said. “I just wanna know what you plan on doing after this is over”

I stopped to look at him after I took off my shoes. “I haven’t really thought of that” I admitted. “I mean, I would live with my mother, to take care of her and probably start working” I sat back on the bed and tried to stay awake as he spoke to me. I have to take off this dress before I fall asleep.

“Why work?” He asked.

“So I have something to do, I can’t sit around all day doing nothing”

He leaned against the dresser and looked at me. “I can get you a job” he said.

“What? Where?”

“Well you could be a personal assistant”

A personal assistant? I don’t know how to be a personal assistant. I guess I could try it. “For who?” I asked yawning.

“There’s an office in my building and they are looking for some. I’ll let them know you’re interested”

Why is he being so nice to me? So kind? He’s doing something, I think. “Well thank you, Joshua” I said closing my eyes and opening them slowly. “I’m really tired” I said drowsily.

I stood up and grabbed my shorts sliding them on underneath my dress. I heard him laugh at me as I fell over, loosing my balance.

“I thought you liked to stay up” he said walking out the room.

“Shut up” I yelled after him. Since he left the room I decided to change my shirt. I turned off the light and slipped into the bed. Yawning before falling asleep.

“….next up on house hunters”
I open my eyes and I hear noise and a bright light. My eyes focus on Joshua, with the light and the tv on, and on his computer with his glasses on.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

He looked at me and rubbed my back. “Go back to sleep baby”

I moaned and lifted my head up. Pushing my hair out the way. “I can’t all these lights are on”

I got up and turned off the light and got back in the bed. “Josh, I’m trying to sleep” I whined.

“Alright but I’ve got to finish this” he said not looking away from his computer.

I sighed and looked to see what time it was.
“It’s 3 in the morning, please get some sleep” I pulled his computer away from him.

“Wait wait…. let me save it” he said and pressed a button. “Now let me just-”

“No” I cut him off. “Please Josh no” my voice cracked. “I’m sleepy”

I climbed on top of him to put his computer on his bedside table. “Don’t move” he said and grabbed my hips.

“What?” I asked scared. “There something on me?”

“No I just like where you are, it feels good” he smirked at me.

I chuckled and moved off of him. “Turn the tv off” I said as I got back under the covers.
“I’m not tired” he said flipping through the channels.

“Joshua” I groaned.

“Yes, baby?” He asked. I could hear it in his voice, I don’t know what it is but there’s something here. He’s trying to bother me. To make me mad. I’m about to pop. I hate when people mess with my sleep.

I got up and jumped on him attacking him with the pillow.

“Shut up! Shut up!” I said smacking him as hard as I could with the pillow.

I’m not even tired anymore. I just wanna fight, I want to fight for what he took from me. From what he’s taking from me now.

“Stop, V” he said laughing and trying to block the pillow from hitting him.
“No, I’m gonna hurt you”

“I’m warning you” he said.

I stopped and looked at him like he was crazy. “You cant threaten me!” I said and kept hitting him.

He grabbed the pillow from me and climbed on top of me hitting me.

“Stop!” I laughed. “Don’t do that!”

“Oh yea? How you like that? Huh?” He laughed.

“I don’t like it, please stop” I hid my face.

He put the pillow down and look at me. “You’re lucky” he said.

“Ugh I’m not mad at you!” I clenched my teeth.

“Don’t bite down” he grinned.

“Get off me! Let me sleep”

“Okay” he got off me and I put my messy curly hair up into a bun on the top of my head and laid down. Shutting my eyes.

“Valentina” Joshua whispered in my ear.

“What would it take for you to leave me alone?” I asked.

“A kiss” he said. I turned around and pulled his face to mine. I was going to kiss him quickly but he pulled me in for more. His hands traveled down my body and his tongue worked magic with mine.

“Where do you want to go more than anything in the world?” He asked me as he pulled away.

“France?” I shrugged. “Why?”

“We leave in the morning” he started kissing me again but I pulled away.

“What?” I chuckled. “What are you talking about?”

“You heard me”

I looked at him stunned. He just keeps surprising me. Is that what he was doing on the computer? He’s truly amazing. Doing anything he can to make me happy. I don’t know how long this thing between us will last, but I don’t want to it end.

I decide at that moment I don’t want to go to sleep anymore. I want to be up with him. For as long as I can cherishing this moment before we no longer have it. Before I no longer have him.

I pushed him back and jump on to—p of him again. “What? Are you serious?!” I squealed jumping up and down on to–p of him.

“Yes baby but don’t do that you’re making me har-d” he grabbed my hips and smiled.

He has such a pretty smile. I can’t wait to see it in France.
