I stare at him, trying to justify his expression to see whether he’s joking or something but damn! He isn’t!
He is really serious about it!
He wants me to act as his wife? Out of all the things I had thought I would be doing, this wasn’t anywhere near.

I would be acting as his wife for fourteen days? God. This is unbelievable. I am at loss of words and I can’t say anything but to just stare at him.

“You must be really surprised but that’s exactly what I need you for. To act as my wife for just fourteen days and within these fourteen days, you would be staying at my place. ”
He mutters and my heart thumps against my chest.

“Act.. Act as your wife? But how? ”
My voice comes out small and cracked and he chuckles.

“Don’t worry. It isn’t really how you’re thinking about it. You wouldn’t be performing any fictions of been a wife, if that’s what you’re thinking about. There’s no possible way I could want to get close to you, is there? ”
He raises his brows at me and I roll my eyes at him though I wouldn’t deny that that was my first thought when he said I would have to act as his wife.

“I wouldn’t want you getting close to me neither! ”
I snap and he chuckles, nodding his head.

“Well, I’m glad the feeling is mutual so we don’t be having a problem anyways. Now what I really need you to do is that you would have to act as a fake wife. My parents are coming by tomorrow probably and they want to know my wife which we both know that I don’t have. Your job is to just act like my wife for these fourteen days they would be staying and that’s all. You’re free to go and I promise you that there would be no such thing as physical contact. ”
He says and I nod, holding tightly to my bag.

“Why don’t you think about getting married once and for all instead of acting like this. They would most definitely figure out sooner or later. ”
I mutter and he snaps his eyes at him, narrowing his eyes down.

“Well, that’s my problem to take care of, isn’t it? It’s none of your business!”
He growls and I roll my eyes before nodding.
I never said it was my buiness anyways. Geez, he can be so dramatic.

“Now, if you’re alright with that. We should get going to my house so you would get familiar with everything and settle in before my parents arrive. ”
He says, raising up his laptop.
What? We are going now?

“But it’s still early. ”
I mutter abd he rolls his eyes at me.

“It’s not. Let’s go. ”
He says, leaving the room and I frown before trailing behind him.
