Chapter 40

Sonia’s POV

Fred approached my mom and threw two punches to her, my mom guided them swiftly and easily.

She adjusted back and bounced, she signalled for Fred to come over.

Fred became more serious and threw few more punches but my mom guided them easily.

My mom faked Fred with a blow and as he tires to guide it, my mom knocked him in the neck, he fell to the floor immediately with his eyes closed.

“Mom! ” I called fearfully and ran to Fred.

The lady sitting on the bed ran outside in panic.

Fred’s POV

I woke and found myself inside the hospital, I was on a sick bed.

I turned my head to the left and saw Sonia sitting beside me.

My head ached as I remembered what happened last.

“Fred, how are you doing?” She asked.

I snubbed as anger rose in me. What sort of psycho woman can fight that way.

She’s so skilled in fighting.

“Fred, please don’t be annoyed!” She said.

“I didn’t impregnate anyone, it was just a trick for you to agree to make love with me, I wanted to out you to jealousy but all you did was to tell your mom to come and beat me. ” I said.

“I’m so sorry, how can I ever tell her to beat you, I only reported to her because my brother was not acting.”

“I’m done with your family, once I get better, I’m divorcing you. I’m done.” I said and she began to cry.

“This is not my fault baby, try and understand me. Okay…I won’t tell my mom anything about our marriage again, how about that?” She asked.

“I don’t care what you say, I’m leaving this marriage. you can find someone else that will marry you without making love with you.” I said and the door opened.

Sonia’s POV

My mom walked in.

“How is he?” My mom asked gently.

“He’s getting better.” I replied.

“You shouldn’t have impregnated another lady, be careful with Sonia in the future.” My mom warned Fred and as she tuned to leave, I spoke.

“Mom, Fred is divorcing me…you caused it.” I rebuked her.

“He wouldn’t try that, trust me. ” My mom turned to Fred. “Are you divorcing my daughter?”

“I am.” Fred replied firmly and my mom smirked.

“Don’t dare it, whoever marries my children is stuck with them forever.”
