Chapter 79

Rose’s POV

“Good morning.” I greeted the woman.

“You can refer to me as Mistress.” She said with a bright smile.

“Alright, my husband and I are here for a reason. His mother told him that he would have stroke on the day he makes love, we want to know if it’s a mere faboo or something that might happen, is it some form of hereditary sickness or what?” I asked.

“This isn’t my first time of handling this type of case. Firstly, it’s not a sickness, it’s a curse. People don’t believe it but curses are real and I’ll be of help.” The mistress said.

“We would be grateful.” I said.

“Alright, you guys will have to sacrifice something.” The woman said.

“Sacrifice what? Is this a shrine?” Ethan asked and looked around.

“No….not that type, you will sacrifice your money and your time.” The woman said and Ethan relaxed.

“How much? ” I asked.

“$2,000, you would be spending three days here.” The mistress said.

“And what would we be doing in the three days?” I asked.

“I would have a special section with your husband for two hours in the morning and two hours at night for the three days.” The woman said.

“Is the accommodation here comfortable?” I asked.

“Very comfortable…The money you will pay covers the accommodation too.” The woman said.

I nodded and looked at Ethan.

he whispered into my ear; “Are you sure this woman is not a scâ-m?”

“It’s just a try, we will find out.” I whisepred back and Ethan nodded.

He paid the woman.

The woman called on a short man and he took us to a decent room where we would reside for three days.

Ethan and I settled in the room.

“I don’t believe in prayer.” Ethan said as he sat.

“Common? it’s just three days try!” I answered.

At Night.

Ethan stood ready to go for his first prayer section.

“Rose , if anything goes wrong, I would put the blame on y…..no! I’m sorry, you are only trying to help me.” He said and I stood.

I hugged him and said; “Everything will be alright!”

Ethan walked out.

Ethan’s POV

I walked to the room that the woman had said the prayer would take place. On entering, I saw the woman sitting before a calabash that had a bare fire on it.

That wasn’t what surprised me, what left me stunned was that she was only on a br–ã and pã–Nt.
