After speaking with the girls and assuring them that I’m alright with Alexander which they had teased me about, I hang up and breathe out as I stare at the phone in my hand complementing whether I should call Ryan or I shouldn’t.

I sigh before dropping the phone on the bed and staring at it, I should call him. He is my boyfriend and he would probably be sick worried about me. Or I should just wait till tomorrow.

Shaking my head, I grab the phone and punch in his digits, dialling the number and he picks on second ring.

“Hello? ”
His voice sounds tired as it comes in and I immediately feel guilty for even thinking about not calling him when he’s like this. What the hell is wrong with me?

“Ryan. ”
I call and wait for his voice again which took about some minutes, I had thought that he hung up or something until I hear that voice again.

“Lyla? Oh my god, Lyla! ”
His voice comes out as a shriek and I chuckle before removing the phone from my ear because of the loudness of his voice then placing it back when I’m sure that he’s done screaming like that.

“Oh my god! Lyla! You have no idea how worried I had been about you, what the hell happened? We have been searching for you for the past two days and we are just about reporting to the police if we don’t find you today. You have no idea how worried we had all been, what happened? ”
His words comes out as rushed and I smile, gently shaking my head.

“It’s nothing to worry about Ryan, I just got myself entangled in some stupid shit but I’m alright now. ”
I smile and I hear him heave a sigh of relief from the other side.

“God, you don’t know how much it means to hear that you’re fine. I have been so worried, I was going to go crazy very soon. Where are you? I want to see you. ”
He says and then my heart starts beating so damn fast.

What am I going to tell him about that? I can’t possibly tell him that I’m about to spend the night at my boss place, he’s so going to lose it.

“Um, just somewhere. I’m not home cause of what happened. I’m scared to go again, I’m at a friend’s place. ”
I lie and I findle with my fingernails. God! I can’t believe that I just lied to him.

“Where are you? Tell me and I could come pick you up so we can go to my place together. ”
He says and I sigh, gently shaking my head.

“Um, Ryan. I really need to go now, I will talk to you later. Tomorrow probably. ”
I quickly hang up before he could say any other thing and I sigh as I drop the phone in the bed.
What the hell am I doing right now?

The door opens and Alexander walks in, his eyes landing in me and he stares at me, standing by the door and my heart suddenly starts beating faster.
Why the hell is he staring at me like that?

He begins to take slow steps with his eyes still on me and I didn’t keep my eyes off him either.

When he gets to me, he looks away from me, his eyes scanning down my body before looking back into my eyes.

“I can’t keep it in anymore. ”
He mutters.
