He spent an hour thinking about what Nyk had told him and hours thinking if Lora was really ready for it.

She sat beside the window, staring down at the village. ‘ There is no place like home. ’ and she was beginning to doubt it.

This… This was more than home. And this… Is home itself.

She spent much of her time sitting down there and felt like not taking off her eyes.

It was a village, yes, but it was like a town. Although Acacia was her home, but it looks like the village they call it.

She’s open to say that cause that’s just the truth.

A knock was heard at the door, she went to open it.

She stood still staring at him. She wasn’t expecting him at that moment, and she wondered what might be the problem?

” Come in.” She said opening the door wife for h to enter. ” What brings you here at this late hour? Is there any problem? ”

” Nothing at all. ” He said with an assuring smile to let her know nothing was really going on.

He sat on one of the chairs while she served him wine. After she was done, she sat opposite him.

She watched him as he took the first sip, second, then third. She had this feeling that he wants to tell her something.

But what could it be?

Is there really a problem his hiding from her?

Still, she waited until he was fully ready to talk.

He dropped the cup on the table as soon as he was done. She poured him another cup of wine but he didn’t take it.

“Is there really a problem?” She asked again.

“Lora, I want to talk to you.” He finally said.

“Okay. I’m listening.” She said with a nod.

“My mother has returned from the witches castle and you’ll be leaving for a year training. ”

She nodded in agreement.

” Your power won’t be able to control you once you’re done with your training. ”

She nodded again…

” It will be a year witch training.”

“A year?” She asked.

“That’s how long you can be able to work on both the powers and yourself. I know it’s difficult to accept it but, you have to. ”

It was difficult to accept it just as he had said.

For a year?…
For a f**king year she was gonna stay far from him?

Why a year?
Why not a month or two?

“ Snap it off Lora… ”

It isn’t actually easy to accept staying far away from him for a minute to talk of a year!

“I’ll go.” She said trying to believe herself.

Even if she doesn’t, she knew she has to.

“I don’t want you to leave like this…”

What… does he mean?
What is he trying to emphasize?

” I want you to be my wife, Lora. Will you marry me?”

I didn’t came out as a force, neither was he scared of spitting the words out.

He was damn serious… And if she wasn’t ready yet… He was ready to wait a thousand years before she gets ready.

” I’m just an ordinary woman from a wretched family. An illiterate to the kingdom’s affairs. I’ll only be a burden to you. ”

” No, you can not. You can never be a burden to me, Lora. You’re my strength and my weakness, my future and my hope. I can only keep moving when you’re with me and that’s why I need you by my side.” He stood up and walking beside her.

He got on his knees and took out a small velvet box from his pocket. Lora gasped out loud, tears falling out from her eyes. ” Will you marry me?”

She wiped away the tears from her cheeks. ” Yes! Yes, I’ll marry you! Lucas smiled brightly and put the gorgeous diamond ring on her finger. It looks beautiful on her finger.

He stood up and kissed her passionately on the lips. ” I love you so much.” He said, wiping her tears.

Lora sniffled and leaned on his touch immediately. Her heartbeat slowly calmed down.

“I love you too.” Lora wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

“I’m so glad you took me in.” Lora said looking into his eyes.

” Me too.” He muttered, resting his head on her forehead.

Lucas loved to look into her bright eyes, for they were the best thing about her.

He was truly grateful for her presence. For with Lora in his life, he felt at home.

She stood beside the mirror staring at herself. Her fingers kept feeling each sides of the diamond ring and she won’t stop touching it.

Last night… It was beyond description.
It was beyond any speakable moments of her life.

First, taken by a demon then, falling in love with him, and now… she’s engaged to him.

All this, she has vowed never to forget.

A knock was offered on the door…

“Come in.” She ordered.

Elena walked in as she shut the door behind her. She looked above her shoulder with a warm smile before turning to fully look at Elena.

Elena’s gaze held too many questions and only an answer from Lora could answer them.

“Yes.” Said Lora with another smile that got Elena proudly crazy.

Elena ran to Lora pulling her into a long lasted hug. She broke free staring into her eyes.

“Tell me I’m not dreaming. Please tell me I ain’t dreaming!”

“No,you’re not.”

” Oh! My goodness!” She exclaimed flying her arms again around Lora’s neck and kissing her soft cheek.
“I’m really proud of you, Lora. Welcome to the family.”

She held her both hands as they sat together on the bed. Elena couldn’t stop smiling and Lora didn’t stop from blushing too.

” I heard you will be leaving to the witches castle.”

Lora nodded.

” It’s for your own good. Soon, you’ll get to learn who you are and how important you really are to the Demons. ” She again smiled before continuing. ” You are our only hope to stop the hunters. Again, you’ll find your answers at the castle. ”

What answers?
Did she just read her mind?
