Chapter 16

-Following Morning–

Elizabeth’s POV

“You should take this!” I heard from my sleep. My eyes were still closed and I was wondering whom the voice was referring to.

I knew the voice to be that of Mr Ashley Romeo.

I opened my puffy eyes and I saw Mr Ashley Romeo with a tray in his hand , inside that tray was a coffee and a meal.

“Sorry, I didn’t add your favorite there, but drinking yoghurt in the morning is not good for the health.”” He said like a gentle man.

I looked at his blue eyes and collected it from him, I began to eat while he sat opposite me gazing at me.

“Can you stop looking at me? It’s making me feel uncomfortable.” I said and he turned away from me.

After I was done eating, I went to go and place the tray on the table before him.

It was intentional. He was too quiet and I needed him to speak.

He didn’t say any word, he simply carried it and walked away.

Is he acting gentle or what?

Nonsense! He must be pretending like he’s some kind of gentleman.

I went to the shower and st-rip-ped myself off ready to b-ath. I got a soap and sponge and began to bath myself.

After soap had covered my body, I turned on the shower to wash the soap away from my body but the water had seized.

No water was pouring!

What nonsense is this? How can a water finish in this time?

I tried to open my eye but soap was too much around my face.

“Mr Ashley Romeo!” I screamed angrily.

“Any problem?” I heard him ask from inside the room.

“The water has seized.” I complained.

“Oh! I did. Are you surprised?”

“Have you gone crazy Mr Ashley Romeo? I need water to wash away the soap on my body?”

“Yes, I’ve gone crazy, which is why I seized the water.” He replied calmly.

“Get water inside this thing.” I ordered but got no reply.

“Okay…please.” I pleaded.

“Okay, you are beginning to be polite. Why did you insinuate I take the tray to the kitchen? I treated you right by serving you but that is your way of paying me back, right?” He asked.

“I…I…” I stuttered.

I loathed myself for being in this kind of position.

How did he even know when to turn off the shower, is he perhaps watching me as I bath somewhere?
