Violet and Tiana’s laughter made me angry as I stared at the test results in my hands.

It stated that I was three weeks pregnant but how?? Ouch I forgot,that dick head forgot to use protection because of his animal lust.

“Okay okay,am pregnant,there’s nothing new there” I said, sliding the test results into my bag as we walked out of the hospital. Kayden and Mel are now very fond of each other while Chloe never sieze to ask for a baby brother.

Well I guess it’s here. We got into Violet’s car as she sped off to the grocery store.

Yeah, Miguel’s birthday party is tomorrow and I want everything to be perfect.

“Am so tired” Tiana complained, sinking into the sofa in the sitting room.

We spent about three hours shopping for the perfect gift to give him,then for our dress then for the food and dessert since Violet was really good in that aspect.

A frown crept my face as the door opened revealing Miguel and the kids. They were all covered in……what!!!

“Don’t tell me, you…..” Before I could muster up a word,Chloe threw her hands around my white pants, staining it with make up.

“Sorry hunny, I’ll order another one” Miguel said, looking into my eyes as Violet and Tiana coughed before picking their kids and walking out.

“You don’t look well,are you okay?” He asked, ignoring Chloe’s presence and whisking me into his arms.

“Am perfectly fine, nothing is wrong with me,by the way how’s the search on Alex going??” I asked trying to divert the topic from me.

“He plans on setting my company on fire so we’ve moved all the important things to the new site am just waiting for him to strike” he said as I gasped.

“Is he doing this alone,I mean does he ” he cut me short with a kiss on my jaw.

“Yeah, Brenda before I forget,Jane called earlier on, she’ll be here tomorrow” he said as I smiled.

It’s strange but Jane and I have been conversing and she’s really nice.

All of a sudden,the lights went off and I heard my own voice. “Fool, you really think,I’ll work for you then you’ll take my man?? Never”

I shook with fear because that was the exact words I said to Yola before killing her,but who else knew about it.

Before I could think twice,the audio continued. “Good bye Yola” I said and I heard Yola crying and begging to be spared. The next thing I heard was a gunshot as I fell to the ground.

The lights came up and I saw Alex, looking down at me with fury and anger. I gulped hard and looked around for my gun but it was nowhere to be found.

“You still have the guts to……look for this?” He asked showing me my gun as I tried standing up but failed woefully.

“Guess what? Miguel knows I wanted to burn his company down, right now, we’re both wanted. Our ally betrayed us……but first,am gonna make you pay for…. Killing Yolanda, you don’t know what she means to me………she’s my everything yet” gun shots rippled through the air as Alex ran away.

“Alex you can’t leave me here, you just can’t, we’re in this together” I yelled as he chuckled.

“Your doom has come, you’re gonna die just the way you killed her” he said as I noticed someone squatting next to me

“Hey bitch,I finally meet you,am Jane and I know you’re Brenda the witch” she said as I scoffed.

“Why are you here? Besides who are you who sent you here?” I asked as she laughed.

“You don’t question me bitch,I do the questioning” she said, hitting me with her gun as my lips tore.

“That’s just a sample of the things am gonna do to you,am a secret agent,I bet you my ex boyfriend Miguel isn’t aware but am ready to kill you just to satisfy him” with that she hit the back of my head as I blacked out.

“What’s the surprise, come on just tell me” I said as he bind my eyes. He took me out saying it’s urgent but I don’t think he said the truth.

He kept on leading me until we got to our destination I think. Then he removed the bind as I gasped.

Tears rolled out of my eyes as I looked around, “why are we here?,I don’t wanna be here” I said turning around to go but he held me back and started to pull me towards the place I called home for nineteen years,the place I was deprived the opportunity of going to school the place where starvation became normal.

He pushed the door in and my heart almost exploded as my dad sat on his wheelchair with Chloe next to him as tears rolled out of his eyes.

“Dad,dad is that you?” I asked with shaky voice as he nodded and opened his arms for me to come.

I quickly hugged him and looked around for my stepmom but she wasn’t around.

“Where’s she?” I asked as Miguel looked all round. “In jail for attempted murder, she’s behind his accident” he said as I sighed.

“Dad, we’re leaving right now,u don’t wanna leave you alone any more” I said as he smiled.

“No,there’s one thing I haven’t done right” Miguel said, going down on his knees as he brought out a diamond ring.

“Morena Dela Cruz will you give me the honor of…. ” I didn’t wait for him to finish his statement.

“Yes I will,I will” I said as everyone chuckled. He slid the ring into my finger.

“You’re looking pretty my princess” I said to Chloe as she blushed. “But mom I want beautiful,I don’t like pretty” she said as I rolled my eyes,she’s such a pest……

“Okay you’re beautiful hunny” I said, running to my bedroom to dress up.

“Miguel, Miguel” I called but got no response from him. A shadow moved outside the window and my heart skipped.

Before I could shout,a passed through the window, aiming at my stomach but I bent my body and the bullet went through my arms as I fell limply on the floor with my screams filling the air and probably the house.

I received a call from Jane telling me to keep watch on Alex that he’s heading to my house.

I went out to speak with the security team when I heard a gunshot. My heart began to race as I sped to the house.

My fear was confirmed when I met Morena lying on the floor with blood oozing out of her arms.

I carried her into my arms as I ran to my car. “Take her to the hospital,I need to attend to my Friend” I said to the driver as some security car followed him.

“Finally we’re Alone” Alex said, chuckling to himself as I scoffed.

“Yeah now I knew you were never my friend, you sent Yola to me just because of my money?? What kind of a friend are you?” I asked as he laughed.

“A friend who wants what you have,as simple as that, just so you know,I would have gone after Morena but she’s not my type.

This triggered the beast in me as I bounced on him. We fought like animals until I felt a bullet pass through my legs.

I groaned in pain as he chuckled and kicked me. “You’re just a weakling, nothing more I’ll kill you and take everything you own, trust me” he said cocking his gun as I heard a gunshot.

I closed my eyes but didn’t feel anything pain apart from the previous one. I opened my eyes and found max cocking his gun with a smirk on his face as he walked up to me.

“He’s gone, come on we need to go to the hospital” he said pulling me up as we trailed to the car.

It’s been two days since i got admitted here and since when Miguel found out he’s gonna be a dad again.

Jane ended Brenda’s life in her attempt to run away while Tia and Hayden took Chloe for sometime so am stucked with Miguel.

“Hey, how’s my champion doing?” He asked, walking into the room with his crutches.

“He’s doing great,” I replied as we both chuckled. Yeah, we’ve settled that the baby’s gonna be a boy I just hope our hunch is right.

What more can I ask for?? I have a loving and adorable daughter,a super duper caring fiancee and my wonderful dad. Also my……. wonderful friends locking around me.
