“Put these things here, Miss Violet will be here very soon” Brenda said, passing a vase to me.

“Gosh these are so so heavy”I complained and heard a chuckle behind me. I turned to see who was there and behold it was Violet.

Wait I’ve been so dumb…… Brenda’s always mentioned her name and I couldn’t notice it? “Hi” she said walking towards me as she embraced me.

“Hey how are you?” She asked, assisting me in carrying the vase as someone cleared her throat.

“Oh… Violet you’ve arrived” miss Yola said, walking down the stairs as Violet rolled her eyes.

“Yeah,where’s your puppy?” Violet asked as Yola frowned “he’s not a puppy,he’s your brother” she yelled

“Don’t remind me……I know, okay?” Violet said and walked away.

“What are you looking at,get back to work!” Miss Yola screamed, making me to jerk. “You’re not my boss, remember” with that,I left her standing with an open mouth.

“What kinda party is she hosting?” I asked mrs Mona as I stirred the sauce. “Uhmm….. just her welcome back party, you know she hasn’t been around” Mrs Mona replied as I nodded.

Just then,Brenda walked in, cursing and her face was red. She has been working here for two years and I really know her.

“What’s wrong?” I asked as she frowned. “Why is she…… inviting we the maids as a guest? I thought we were supposed to serve?” She asked as…… Violet smiled.

“It’s actually a nice idea Brenda…… come on let’s show her what you’re made of” I said, pulling her upstairs.

“Yeah I like this” Brenda said as she smiled. “Where’s Morena?” I asked as she shrugged.

“Okay, I’ll just look for her,the so called party is about to begin” I walked out of my bedroom, heading towards the maid quarters when I saw her.

“Miss Violet,is anything the problem?” She asked, wiping the sweat off her brows. “No….. just wanted to ask if you……. have a dress for the party” I said as she nodded.

“Yes…..I have,I wanted to thank….” My phone rang, distracting me from what she was saying.

I wanted to thank her for the dress she sent earlier on…..but that phone call had to disrupt it.

I haven’t checked the……cloth I’ll do that once am done with this.

I quickly finished mopping the tiles cause miss Yola doesn’t want stains anywhere. She said everywhere must be spotless.

I wonder where Mr Miguel is,but why am I bothered I should be Happy I didn’t get to see his annoying face today.

Finally it was time for the party……… and I walked out of the bathroom, looking at the package on my bed.

I don’t know why but I feel so uneasy…….it’s as if something bad is gonna happen.

My mind drifted back to my dad,I wonder where he is,or is he really dead?

I shrugged the thought off and opened the package,it was a long ball dress but surprisingly it was black in color.

Why will miss Violet send me a black dress? I still don’t know why…..I carried the note and my eyes almost popped out.

What’s this? Did she hate me that much? It read, you don’t belong here,go back to the slumps

I placed the paper in the box and wore the dress. If she doesn’t like me at least she wouldn’t have helped me,she must have an explanation for that.

The door opened revealing Brenda in a lemon strapless dress which stopped at mid thighs. My gosh am so jealous right now
bounced on her shoulders. “I look expensive right?” She asked walking round me.

“Yeah…..where did you get it?” I asked as she blushed. “Mr Miguel gave it to me…..am so flattered” she replied as my heart sank low.

He gave her a dress but not me,why? Well I also hate him…..am sure he’s compensating her for the pussy well used.

“Your dress is wag…..it’s like my grandma’s own” she mocked, walking round me as her chuckle filled my ears.

“Don’t rub it in my face!” I yelled as she sashayed out of my room with her laughter trailing behind.

“North you won’t believe I actually gave her a that old dress” I said as we both laughed.

Just then,a knock came through the door as….. Miguel walked in. “Hey babe,it’s time” he said as north giggled.

North’s my partner in everything…..she’s more like a sister to me. Miguel held my hand as he led me to the sitting room.

I made sure I invited……. popular guests,Mrs Amador is also here….am gonna humiliate her….

“Let’s welcome the great couple, the couple of the night” the host said as…..I smiled.

Of course I invited the press, don’t wanna miss out on anything.

Violet was sitted with Alex and Max….. while Brenda was sitted with Mrs Mona.

Where the hell is that bitch? But… it’ll be good, she’ll make a grand entrance with her grandma dress….. and an ugly face.

I stylishly searched around for Morena,I don’t know why am feeling this way. She’s just an employee and a stubborn one at that.

I knew Violet was just here because I begged her. She never really liked Yola,she’s always saying Yola is after my money which I know of.

Am just with her for show……am never gonna settle down.

“Hey man,Yola you look hot” Alex complimented as she blushed.

Just then,we heard the clicking of…….a shoe on the floor as all eyes turned to see Morena.

What! She looks awful…… and the worst part is that she was smiling. “Hello everyone…..uhm…am sorry about her,she wasn’t invited to the party and I wonder where she got her dress from” Yola said as I shook my head in disbelief.

Is this what she planned all along? To humiliate the girl? I should be happy right? But am not….. and I don’t know why….

“Let’s forget it and toast to I and Miguel” she said,as everyone cheered.

“Who’s she?” A man asked licking his lips as Yola giggled. “Oh she’s an eleventh grader, and a maid” she replied, chuckling and loud enough for everyone to hear as the man smiled.

“Then I think I’ll have her for the night” he said as I pulled him back and punched his face. I noticed that Morena was no longer in the room. I think she fled away and my heart clenched.

I can’t have feelings for her,no……but why did I feel hurt when Yola did this?

“You’ve done enough,did you let everyone know I pay you for this relationship? Did you let them know…..I don’t love you and this is just a charade?” I asked as people gasped.

Well there was nothing I could think of…….I ran out of the hall in search of Morena.

I don’t know what has gotten into me…….I walked towards the pool side and met her inside the pool,she was floating on top and my heart pounded.

I just hope nothing happens to her……….am her boss after all,if she dies I’ll be held responsible.
