I knew that if I should wait any further, Stella might got killed

I drew the door opened and dragged her in

Closing the door immediately even though she was hugging me
That could prevent me from making any movement but not when it comes to life
I still closed the door

“Am scared” she said still holding me tight

“What could you be doing outside by this time of the night?” I asked

“Don’t you know how dangerous it is?”

“I’m always scared to stay alone whenever I remember what Mrs Zina told” she replied

My mind was at the same thing Ajax told me
That could possibly be what Mrs Zina told her

“What did she tell you?” I asked because I need to hear it from her mouth

She released her hand from my body and pushed herself backwards
I had to look down because I was taller than her

“I want to ask you for something” she requested

“Go on what is that?” I asked

“Can I sit first?” She asked
I couldn’t tell if it was really this that she wanted to ask me

“Sure” I said shifting for her

She walked straight to the bed and sat down
While I went to sit down on a chair in the room

I didn’t know what her real intention was

“I have the request first before I will proceed” she said
Only her knew her request so I had to ask in order to know

“Which request is that?” I asked

“Can I stay here for a night?” She asked
Permitting her will only give her the license to keep requesting for the same thing every single night

“School rules is against it, hope you know? I asked back

“Please” she pleading

“let’s talk about the other one first we can still discuss this later” I said

“Tell me, what did Mrs Zina told you?” I asked even without waiting for her to reply what I suggested

It was exactly the same thing Ajax told me about how risky it was in the midnight

“You shouldn’t have come out after hearing this from her, or don’t you value your life?” I asked after hearing from her

“I was scared” she replied

“But haven’t you seen this kind of thing in the news about the school before coming here?” I asked because a serious student has to check very well about the school he or she was going to

“That’s what made me more worried” she replied

“How do you mean?”

“I’m worried about you, as in what could be your reason for coming to the school in the first place” she replied

I had so many reasons before coming but I wasn’t ready to tell her
The only reason I would tell her freely was my family’s condition which she was aware of

“Have a lot of reasons” I responded
Of course I had to wait for her to ask me

“What are they?” She asked
I expected it

“You supposed to know my family situation” I said
Her face changed as if she felt pity for me

“it was also the same reason why I was worried”

“When I came back the second time, I asked your dad he told me that you have gone here for the scholarship opportunity, that’s why I drop that token” I said
I remembered it
I couldn’t tell if I appreciated her then

“I appreciate it, but I used it for something more important in the family” I responded

“Assuming I knew that it wouldn’t be enough, I would have made it double” she said

She was really caring

“I want any time I visited that hotel, I will be able to see you” she added

“But I’m here already, even you”

“So are you still worried?” I asked

“Yes”

“Why?” I asked

“My dad” she replied and that got me worried

“What about him?” I asked

“He wants me to stop schooling here” she replied
I really felt happy
I didn’t know why but it was kind of relief

“Why?” I asked
As if I really cared

“I don’t know but I guess he must have seen those news on net” she replied
That was true

“So, when will you be leaving?” I asked

“You sound as if you are happy” she said instead

“Not really but I am worried seeing you here, knowing how dangerous this school is” I replied

“So, when?” I asked

“This weekend, he will be coming” she replied
I just wished I wouldn’t meet him

I woke up with a heavy heart thinking about what I experienced the previous night

I wasn’t down just because of Mr Rashid but I felt betrayed

I couldn’t believe it even up to that morning

I was weak that I couldn’t stand up from my bed
Feeling lazy

The worst part was Mark
How could he accept such, just to play that kind risky game
I was beginning to like him but he has spoiled everything

I kept rolling around my bed wishing that I could forget what happened

I heard a knock on my door
My mind ran to Ella

What could she be doing in the apartment after what she did

I still had to open the door for her
But I saw Mark standing there

I wanted to use that force to close the door back but he held it from closing

“Why are you shutting the door before me?” He asked

“I went to school directly because it has already passed the time you normally go to school” he added
I looked at him, from head to toe

“Are you here to mock me or what?”

“I don’t understand” he said
He looked confused

“You think I don’t know your plans with Mr Rashid and Ella” I said
Saying that, I remembered that first day he stopped me

Mr Rashid was in one of the hall close to mine
I remembered that he saw us
That shows that it was true

“What plans?” He asked

“Can you just stop pretending?!” I shouted because I was getting more angry

“Okay, am sorry but how do you know?” He asked while I gave him a bitter smile

“Are you surprised?”

“I have the full evidence” I added and walked inside to get my phone
He used the opportunity to come in

I played that video Ella sent to me

He gasped

“You recorded this?” He asked

“Are you surprised?” I asked back

“This is not what you think”

“Fine, am sorry but how long have you been pretending not to know this?” He asked

I wouldn’t have replied that but I still had to
Maybe I will see his opinion

“Ella sent this to me yesterday” I replied while he gasped

“Mistake” he said looking around
Scratching his head

“Let me explain please” he requested

“Go on, am hearing”

“But is it true?” I asked

“Yes” he replied

“Why would you fake your love?”

“Ella was my childhood friend, so she told me that she needed my help”

“I didn’t know what it really was until I met Mr Rashid who told me everything”

“Am a graduate and Mr Rashid gave me the connection that gave me what am doing for a living and that was part of the agreement” he explained

“Just on me?” I asked

“He is a very rich man, so Ella handled all this and I got the benefit” he replied while I exhaled

“Okay, now that you have succeeded, can you please leave?” I requested

“Am sorry but during the process, I found myself falling in real love with you” he said by then, he was already kneeling down

“Since you started with a fake love, you will never change” I said

“Please leave or else, I will shout” I added
My eyes were already turning to red

“Am sorry” he said
I opened my mouth to shout

“Okay fine, I will but just know that I love you” he added and stood up
He was looking at me while I looked at the other side
I didn’t want to have an eye contact with him

He got to the door and opened it
He turned to look at me but I cared less

I rushed to lock the door immediately he closed it and I fell on the floor crying

I woke up and found myself alone in the room

Stella was nowhere to be found
I guessed she must have left to her room

I stood up and checked very well in the room but she wasn’t there

My eyes caught a plate well arranged on a little table in my room and a white paper beside it

I picked up the paper first and saw what was written on it

“Good morning” it was boldly written

That must be Stella’s handwork

I smiled and dropped it
I opened the plate and saw a delicious rice inside it

“Wow, lovely” I said perceiving the aroma

Just then I heard a knock on my door

“It must be her” I said with a low tone

I was about to go to the door when it was pushed opened and Ajax walked in

“You are yet to prepare” he said pointing at me

“So why is your door still open?” He asked
I thought because I don’t unlock it unless I was ready to go or someone visited

That must be when Stella left

“Did you see anyone outside?” I asked

“What kind of question?”

“A lot of people are outside of course” he said
That was dumb me
I didn’t know how to ask him if he saw Stella

“Go and take your bath, we are late” he said
I closed back the plate of rice

I got out after taking my bath

Ajax was facing the plate
I was wondering if he had cleared everything when I was really hungry

I wore my dress and sat for my food

Thanks to Stella

“Where did you buy this kind of food this early morning?” Ajax asked
I looked at him, thinking of a lie

“Stop looking at me like that because me and you know that you can’t cook, not to talk of this delicious one” he added
That forced me to open the food, thinking that he must have eaten it

But it was still as it was

“I know food from the smell” he added while I smiled
I wouldn’t want to be hiding things from him
I thought I had hidden a lot

My gift and my dream
It was enough

“Seriously, she slept here last night?” Ajax asked just as I finished telling him what happened

“Yes, I had to let her because it will be dangerous if she goes out by that time” I replied

“I woke up to see all this” I added

We got to school and the lecture didn’t take time to start

My mind ran to what I planned with the ghost boy

I just thought of trying my luck then

I took permission from the lecturer and walked out

I checked very well before heading to the teachers library

I checked the windows that could possibly see the place but everything was safe

I opened the door and walked in

Everywhere was quiet and cold

Everywhere was filled with books arranged on something that looks like a closet

Nothing else could be seen there apart from that thing

I was worried when Jack left

I didn’t know where he was heading to but he would have told me

I took permission from the lecturer and went out also

I looked around the places I could see from the spot where I stood but I couldn’t find Jack

I remembered that he asked me about the teachers library

“He must be there” I concluded and rushed to that side only to see him walking out from that side but I couldn’t tell if he really went inside there

“You looked worried” he said

“Where did you go?” I asked

“That room” he replied pointing at that house
Teachers library

“What is so important about going there?” I asked because I was curious

“I just want to know the difference between it and ours” he replied while I laughed

“You really need to be careful” I said

I had to lie to him because I couldn’t tell him why I was there

That night, immediately I finished eating, the ghost boy appeared

Seems like he knows that I was waiting for him

“Were you able to discover the book?” He asked

“I can’t even see what is so special there” I said

“There are lots of books there” I added

“There is a particular one that is different” he said

“Which one?” I asked

“That book has different colors but it doesn’t show at once” he replied
I was confused

“How do you mean?” I asked

“It will keep changing color in every ten seconds” he replied

I didn’t check that

I woke up pretty late the following morning
I wasn’t still that strong enough because of the quantity of alcohol I took as a result of happiness
I didn’t know why but I felt happy the previous night

I managed to dress up for school as usual and rode with my bike

Since I was late, I thought that Jack must have left his room

I rode to the parking spot and met Mira there

That means she just arrived

“Hey” she said waving at me

“Hey” I responded waving back before I riding to where I normally park

I was still feeling weak and it seems like the lecturers hasn’t arrived because students were still outside

I parked, stretched my body and got down from my bike

I walked straight to where Mira was standing

“You didn’t come with Jack?” She asked

“I woke up pretty late today, so I guess he must have been here” I replied

“Probably in the hall” I added

“Seems like it is general because I woke up late” Mira said

“Am still weak, can I take some sleep in your car?” I asked

“Sure” she replied giving me her car key

“Thanks”

“Should in case you see Jack in the hall, just tell him that am here” I added

“I will” she responded and meant to go

“Mira” I called her and she turned

“I have something to ask you” I said
She narrowed her eyes and walked closer to me

“What do you think about Jack and Stella?” I asked

“How do you mean?” She asked back

“I want to know if you feel jealous for them” I replied while she smiled

“They must have been dating before, so I won’t like to be in between them” she replied
That means she wasn’t greedy

I had to try that same pattern with Stella, to know who is better
Since Stella has started from cooking for him

“Ok, I will see you later” I said and she nodded before walking out

We arrived a little bit late to school than before
But everywhere were still filled with students

“Today is really different” Anthony said just as Aiden parked

He has always been the first to notice and say something

“I think so” Axel supported him
We got down and walked to the back of the car and leaned ourselves on it as we watched students walking around

“The principal isn’t around also” I said

“That’s not my problem, I just want to deal with Jack” Andrew said
That was off point

I wondered what was so special about that Jack

“Anthony have you planned anything?” He asked looking at Anthony

“Am on it” Anthony replied

“So, because of Mira that’s why you want to deal with him?” Aiden asked

“You asked as if you are far” Andrew said

“I think I like Stella and this same Jack is in” Axel said

“That’s enough reason” Andrew supported

“Too bad” someone said as the car beside Axel’s own got opened

It was Ajax

“Instead of you guys to be thinking on how to go with this killing going on in the school”

“You are here thinking on how to beat someone” he added
By then, everywhere was getting empty which means that students were going inside for lecture

I didn’t know why I woke up that late

Ajax didn’t come as usual
Even Stella didn’t

I dressed up and went to school

Everyone was inside the hall already

I thought it was an opportunity to do what I supposed

I rushed to the teachers library and entered after checking very well

I was busy looking for that book when the door got opened

I slowly turned and saw Mr Noah standing before the door

“What are you doing here?”

“Are you looking for this?” He asked and brought out a book he was holding with his right hand side

It was the book
